This is my first post ever and might I just say: it is odd. I feel like I’m publishing my journal, which is…uncomfortable. To say the least. Not that I keep a journal. But if I DID, it might be something like this. Only private. So, it might take a while to get into the swing of things. Anyway, this is unimportant. What is important is that, inspired by my friend Sam (not to be confused with my husband Sam, who will undoubtedly be thrilled that I’m actually writing), I decided to start my own blog. Thank you, Sam! Love your blog, by the way. And PS: I had tickets to a Howard Jones concert in 1984 but I got drunk and subsequently fell down and was subsequently busted by my mom who subsequently grounded me and I subsequently missed the HJ concert I’d been D-Y-I-N-G to see. But I did get to see the Thompson Twins the next month, so all was not lost. Okay, I think I’m getting a feel for this blog thing. Anyway, I fired up this blog because I figure this to be a good way to let family and friends (and strange lurkers, too, I’m sure) keep up with our day to day lives. As if we’re interesting enough to warrant any hits. Although, now that we’re parents to a 10 month old dog, Ella and 5 month old human, Ruby, we might actually portray the image of an interesting life. At the very least, we think we’re fascinating. Don’t you? Stay tuned…

Yes, you ARE fascinating!
And I’m sorry to hear about the chain of events leading to your missing Howard, though they make a good story now.
I’ll have you know I also saw the Thompson Twins…TWICE! I rock!
Whatever happened to them? Not sure I can currently find inspiration in their lyrics:
“Lies, lies, lies, yeah! They’re gonna get you!”
Hmmm. Not quite right.
“If I were king for just one day.”
Also not right.
I’m sure the song with true meaning just escapes me at the moment.
Hooray for your blog! And hooray for Miss Ruby!
xo,
Sam (the other one ;0)

Hi Aaryn,
I am a friend of Sam and David’s and I read their blog frequently. I saw your link and had to check it out. I too have decided to attempt to document the happenings of life at home with my new twin girls Maya and Zoe - almost three months now. I will be checking back to hear more about you and your adventures with Ruby - love that name by the way!
