It feels strangely like December in these parts

Spring is here but in San Diego, that means grey and gray. Then, just when you think you’ve had enough grey and gray, there’s ashen, lead, slate, iron and—mixed all together at once—Seattle. I’m having to wear my sweaters again. Bleh. So I’m focusing on the warmth of this shot (a plant in my yard) even as I’m feeling Pacific Northwesty inside.

It’s May grey on the East coast too! Didn’t get over 50 in Boston today. The SUN best be shining tomorrow! Winter was depressing enough this year…it’s time for some Sunshine!

Ditto here in Virginia. Gray and grey and chilly with wind advisories and coastal flood warnings. Insanity.

I’ve got a friend from Chicago visiting tomorrow and tried to explain May Gray to her. Needless to say, as long as it’s not snowing, she’s cool with it.

Also, please teach me how to take pics like that.

Oh, come on people of San Diego. There may be May gray in the sky, but the flowers are blooming all around on the ground, and look at the one Aaryn photographed. Perfect!
