I’m just an ordinary girl with nothing to lose

Ever have fantasies about how you might act in certain situations if you didn’t have that thing in your brain that causes you to comport yourself (most of the time) in a socially acceptable manner? I call them my Six Feet Under moments and I have them all the time. This is my resignation fantasy.

One of the all-time great scenes in movie history. I rank it just behind Alec Baldwin’s “motivational speech” in Glengarry Glen Ross….

It’s just about good enough to cuddle up with and call, “lover.” Love that scene.

Um, Honey, is there a resignation in your future? ‘Cause if there is, that’s the way to go.

That is my second favorite scene in my second favorite movie of all time. The other scene I just adore is the one where he’s working in the fast food drive in window, and his wife pulls up with her scumbag lover, all smoochy and giggly. She turns to look at him in the window and, after she stutters and tries to offer explanations he says, “You, don’t get to tell me, what to do - ever again.”

God I love those scenes. Love you too Aaryn.

I have those moments ALL THE TIME! I love them. The leave me wishing I had some cajones. I had one this morning where I got out of my car and told that lady in the car next to me at a stop light, who was smoking with the windows up and HER INFANT IN THE BACK SEAT what I thought of people like her. Then the light turned green. At least she got my extra dirty look. I hate people too.
