It was beyond beyond. It was so fantastic that I’m not even going to bother italicizing the adjective because doing so wouldn’t begin to capture how amazing it was.
You can get David Byrne’s new album—and listen to it for free!—right here. If you’re trying to get to your happy place, like I am, I would recommend starting there. Well, first go to a cafĂ© of your liking, sit alone, sip wine, watch the world go by and then listen to the album.

I agree! I just saw him in Albuquerque. In a small auditorium I was in the 2nd row off the floor and no one was sitting in front of me! It was an awesome show… the dancers were fantastic, no?
and the lighting. The incredibleness of David Byrne….. great mix of new stuff, and old stuff remixed… so glad I went. so glad you went too! everyone I know in ABQ was like, “David Who?” (yes, they are young–sigh)

The Byrne show sounds like it was amazing. It doesn’t look like he is scheduled to hit Seattle on this current tour, which is a shame. I was lucky enough to see him on his Feelings tour in 1997 and that was fantastic.
