Twofer: A little eye candy with our new administration

I love a good looking man. Even more, I love a good looking, smart man. Oh, look: That’s what we’re getting! The hotness quotient is certainly increasing with this new administration. Perhaps they’ll make a different kind of presidential calendar this coming year. I mean, Barack? Rahm? Who knows? Maybe Obama will even tap Javier Bardem for the Arts Council. I mean, holy hell! We need someone to counter this chilling appointment. It might as well be my boy.

And might I just add that, while not quite as heat-inducing as Obama or Emanuel (appropriate given concerns over global warming) how I swooned at the possibility of Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. steering the EPA! Oh yeah. There is no mistaking that this ship is getting turned right around but quick.

I am glad I am not the only one who think’s Rahm is hot.

Normally I agree with you on just about everything, but I have to disagree about RFK Jr. He promotes pseudoscience, and that’s the last thing we need in someone appointed to head the EPA. http://scienceblogs.com/insolence/2008/11/say_it_aint_so_barack_say_you_aint_serio.php

If President-elect Obama (I still get chills!) can put together at least 12 calendar-ready hotties in his administration, I really will say, “God Bless the USA!”

All you have to do is put Joe Biden next to Dick Cheney to know there was going to be a difference.

The Men of the White House. I think it needs to a 16 month calendar.

Hahaha, I am totally alongside you ladies. Barack & rahm = tastetastic!!

Sidenote: did I mention to you earlier that rally attendants in front of the White House last night chanted PACK YOUR SHIT! PACK YOUR SHIT! And the cop behind the fence had to turn around because he was laughing. True story and I love it!

@ Go Amie: I hadn’t seen his stuff on vaccines until I read that. It certainly seems like the author was a bit of a crack-pot her/himself, but Timothy Noah of Slate seconds your assessment (he has a great piece here: http://www.slate.com/id/2203909/ about who he believes should be avoided in the appointment process and Kennedy makes the list). I am officially retracting my above enthusiasm and instead replacing it with a dose of skepticism. Thank you for the info.

Oh, and David Axelrod doesn’t get to be in the calendar. No offense, David.

It certainly seems like the author was a bit of a crack-pot her/himself, Orac is certainly, uh, enthusiastic about vaccination pseudoscience, but he’s joined by a bunch of other sciencebloggers on this issues as well: http://scienceblogs.com/effectmeasure/2008/11/rfk_jr_for_epa_thumbs_down.php

Thanks also for the link to the Slate article. And I agree with the Axelrod verdict 100%!
