If you never get snow (like us) then complaints about it ring hollow. We’re jealous of snow. Until we get it. One day…two days tops and then we’re glad for it to melt, run into the gutter, replenish the river and leave us alone. People who have winter as their longest season have our pity. As long as that pity comes back around when our summer begins in May and lasts through the beginning of October. In July, we open our car doors using potholders. 112 degrees makes for some awesome hand blisters.
Amen sister. It’s not as bad here in Nebraska, but it seems that every time the temp drops below 10, or when we get snow, my sister in California calls to complain about their weather, which is usually 40-70 degrees and she swears she has chillblains.
one great thing about Albuquerque… we got a little snow, and then it receded into the mountains, where it belongs and we could admire it from afar. Days have been 45-50 degrees and sunny. This kind of winter I can handle. but I DO miss the ocean….
heh. makes me miss San Diego, too.
