No mini-skirts after 35 and other rules
Michelle Obama and her girls visited La Tour Eiffel today. I oohed-and ahhed over this latest picture, as I’m prone to do each time I see this family. Look at Michelle’s perfectly flung scarf. And little Sasha’s ponytail. And Malia’s awesome t-shirt. Wait! I thought.
What the…?
Let’s zoom in for a closer look, shall we?
Darling, isn’t it? Yes. I immediately jumped up from the table, grabbed my camera and took a quick and mediocre self-portrait to document what I’m wearing today, what I was wearing at the very moment I was gasping at the First Family en Paris:
I had a number of thoughts on the coincidence:
1) The Obama’s shop at Target? Godammit I love them more today than I did yesterday!
2) Clearly, I’m on the cutting edge of hip and cool and young.
3) I need to study up on age appropriate attire.
4) Ouch.
5) The Obama’s shop at Target!

6) We’re sorry, that item is no longer in stock.
hip and cool for certain.
You can TOTALLY pull this shirt off
Apparently that shirt is fairly ageless–you both look fab.
That is some funny shit. And good-lookin’ all around.
That is so cool! Another reason to LOVE them.
you could wear a paper bag and look totally gorgeous,
I am so getting myself one of those shirts. And I’m gonna make sure it’s at least one size too small, to make sure it shows off the darling little “new daddy” belly I’ve been working on.
That is hilarious! Can we really not wear mini skirts after 35? That sounds way too young for that rule.
I see a new line: Sasha and Malia for Target. Move over Mizrahi!
PS I love your backyard.
Obviously you were raised right!!!!!
UGH, the minute I read the GD word on this post is the last minute I will spend reading your site. And for a second you had me entertained.
As much as pleated front trousers look disturbingly republican, saying GD in a public forum screams liberal democrat to me.
Pleats are looking more and more attrctive to me…even pleated Target bought pants, at that.
GD? Did I say GD?
I can’t find any place that I said GD.
Goddammit, I’m going to have to go back and look again…
OMG! The shirt is FAB on you – your on the cusp…the cusp i say!
p.s your dress is in the mail first thing in the morning!
XO
You are a serious dork. Shes just a kid. Quit idolizing the Obamas…you are making a fool of yourself!
Hate to burst your bubble, but that’s not the same shirt. Close, but not the same! Although, I wouldn’t be surprised if they shopped in Target before they moved to DC. Michelle appears to shop at many places and has good taste whether it’s upscale or not. I personally love Target and mix stuff from there higher end stores!
