Personally my favorite is when people ask me if my biracial daughters’ hair is naturally curly. No, I take my 6 year old to get her hair permed every couple months. A close second is when people praise me for being a foster parent. The look on their face is priceless when I tell them…”Nope, actually all three came out of my very own vagina. I totally know what you mean about the hair touching. Drives me nuts. Do people feel compelled to touch little white girls’ hair too? Am I crazy?
