ROFL!!!!! WHY WOULDNT THEY WANT A PUBIC OPTION~!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHH~ WHATS THE WORLD COMING TO !!!???

So many citizens really do not want more government. Funny how the extremes on boths sides seem to behave the same.

The woman holding the sign looks like she could swallow a pubic option just fine.

I’m here all week… tip your waitress!

Can I just say that’s it a good thing I had friends over and we drank a couple of bottles of Vinho Verde to take our minds off this shit?

@Candy Stick Lane: I don’t know. I mean, I know I want a PUBIC option. I always want a PUBIC option! These people are simply not that smart.

@MABYBELLINE: No, the extremes on both sides are *not* behaving the same. Turn off the FOX News network and start doing research of your own. May I suggest the non-partisan factcheck.org as a starting place?

@Zaphod: See, I totally agree with you. And yet, there she is, working so diligently against her own self-interest. Hrrrmmm… So, you’re only here all week? Stick around! I rarely tip less than 20%.

@Jenn: I went to the Richard Avedon exhibit today; it wasn’t half as good as the one in San Francisco that I saw in July (that’s San Diego for you) but still worth it. My friend and I then enjoyed happy hour margaritas at The Prado. So I am with you. Hey! Did you like that wine???

Thank you for your suggestion, Aaryn.

@Jenn, Excellent idea. I’m planning on getting smashed on peach daiquiris this weekend to try to get my mind off of the crazy. This whole thing just makes me insane. As a Canadian who knows single-payer health care works very, very well, the lies and propaganda are so offensive. What makes me even more incredulous is that the vast majority of these protestors would be far, far better off in a European/Canadian style socialism than they are in the US. They’d be healthier, better educated, have a better standard of living, and fewer wars. It astounds me how corporate America and the ruling oligarchy has brainwashed so many Americans to act so blatantly against their own self-interest, and in the interest of mega-corporations and the excessively wealthy.

Ha! When you work for “public” broadcasting, that at- times-overlooked “l” becomes mighty important.

You can always go BACK to Canada and have your socialist government!

Posted by heather on 27 August 2009 @ 8am

@heather: I’m not Canadian so I don’t know what you’re talking about by suggesting I “go BACK to Canada.” But you can always go BACK to school and read some history books to find out exactly how socialist our government is. Just a thought. Thanks for stopping in. ;)
